Kennedy Class of 2015 | Utah HS Senior photography |Beauty Revived
This post is about a girl names Kennedy. She was nominated by people around her to be the recipient for my Beauty Revived session. Beauty Revived is a movement of photographers, founded my Michelle Gifford to use our talents to find amazing women all over who represent true beauty. I have had the pleasure of being involved with Beauty revived since its started and this round was all about finding Senior girls. 50 photographers from around the nation each found girls and they are all being featured on the Beauty Revived site. I ended up picking two girls for this project and Kennedy was one of them. Hair and makeup and a gift card for clothes were all donated by amazing people!
Hair and makeup: Kali Chris
Gift Card: Hut no. 8
Kennedy was a pleasure. She was truly grateful for being nominated and getting the chance to have the photo shoot. It’s not something that she would have gotten the chance to do, which makes it all the more fun for me. She comes from a home where parents have been divorced and the economy has made it hard to hold a job and provide for a family. She is the oldest of all the children and step children and a lot of her own time is spent helping to take care of them as well.
Forced to grow up quickly it can be hard to find time for yourself to just be a kid. She’s bounced around cities to various apartments. She has been given plenty of excuse to just not care anymore, lay low and just make it through, yet she has decided that her struggles and hardships will only fuel her to becoming an amazing woman. She’s kept a 4.0 and is one of the few HS kids to work the U cancer research program. She has also been asked to go to Washington DC for a cancer research program. Kennedy also hopes to attend Stanford after her Senior year and I will be crossing my fingers for her!
Right before I contacted her she had a friend in hair school who colored the purple in her hair. She was worried that I wouldn’t want to use her anymore, but Kali and I said, heck no, lets have some fun! She loves clothes and dresses cute, but we managed to really give a fun makeover on her and she felt like a rock star! She was genuinely so excited to be doing the shoot with me and was a natural for sure.
I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter girl to give this opportunity too. I am so thankful for each new person I meet and get to work with, and Kennedy was no exception. You meet her and you know that she is warm, caring and loving. Good Luck Kennedy!
